TASMANIAN HUON PINE
What an incredible history...
Huon Pine can only be found in the wild forests of Western Tasmania. It is Australia's oldest living tree + is one of the oldest living organisms on earth. Known to reach an age of 3000 years!
It has a natural oil that gives it a unique fragrance + makes it naturally resistant to water and rot. Because of this unique quality it was cut down indiscriminately. It is now an extremely rare + protected species that can only be sourced from dead fallen trees by licensed wood collector's.

My name is Kristie + I live in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. I am mother to three beautiful souls + have an incredible husband + family that supported me in realising my dream of starting my own business.
I had an innate desire to create a business that aligned with my passions + values. To support other local businesses + the environment.
To channel this I decided to bring back the old craft of wood turning that was my grandfathers passion and fell in love with it too. With sustainability, recycling + repurposing being the very core of my business.
